This fall, the Iota chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity at the University of Texas at Austin, will hold its second annual kickball tournament for charity. This annual event will be held on October 30, 2011 at the Del Valle Adult Softball Complex, benefiting the Richard Holland Scholarship Fund.
Richard Holland was a dear friend to many. He was one of our newest Active members here at UT Austin AKPsi. He was always a charming man, who could make anyone smile with the greatest ease. His passion for life was second to none, and his ability to bring out the best in everyone he encountered was extraordinary. He was truely a class act and great man. He passed away on August 30, 2011, and he will always be remembered and missed. We are hosting this tournament in his honor, and the benefits and proceeds will go toward a scholarship fund that his family has established in his name.
As an opportunity to further our fraternity’s commitment to community service, the Iota chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi seeks to advance the development of this event. To achieve our goal, we must employ the support of Austin, and surrounding area, citizens and businesses like you. Our fraternity provides several opportunities to get involved. Interested parties may provide monetary donations or even compete in our tournament.
